Torre x Torre
Dir. Juan Obregón, Roberto Garza
Torre x Torre | 2018 | Mexico | 105 min.
Synopsis
At the dawn of his chess career, no one doubted that Carlos Torre was a solid candidate to be the future Wold Chess Champion. However, a barrier interposed: suddenly, tragically, his nervous system collapsed in a bar in New York, when, possesed by a crazy impulse, he took a bus, got undressed and ran to the zoo to visit the monkeys.
Torre returned to his senses after several days, when he was on a ship that was taking him back to Yucatan. He would no longer play chess professionally in his life. He was 21 years old.
