Mollusk
Dir. Mauricio Bidault
Molusco | 2025 | Mexico | 117 min.
Synopsis
Few people know José Ignacio Solórzano; meanwhile, JIS is widely famous. The curious thing is that they are the same person. The cartoonist behind the now legendary Tetona Mendoza -and a contributor to some of the country’s most important newspapers- is, at the same time, a bald man who enjoys long walks and cigars, and who also worries about money and relationship problems. Mollusk tells the story of this man and reflects on individual freedom, showing how art and humor can save us from the setbacks life brings our way.
