Rubén Blades, an icon of Latin American music, was at the center of the Salsa revolution of the 70s. His socially themed lyrics and explosive rhythm brought Salsa to an international audience. Blades has been awarded 17 Grammys, performs in Hollywood, received his Law degree from Harvard and ran for the presidency of his native Panama.
