SYNOPSIS
There are heroes who never were.
At the dawn of his chess career, no one had doubts that Carlos Torre was a solid candidate to be the future chess world champion. However, a barrier got in the way: Suddenly, tragically, his nervous system collapsed outside the New York Zoo. Torre came to himself after several days, when he was on a boat that was taking him back to Yucatan. He would no longer play chess professionally in his life. He was 21 years old, it was the year 1926.
